GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national-level examination conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board. Primarily conducted for admission into postgraduate programs (M.Tech, M.Sc) at top-tier institutions across India and recruitment by reputed public sector enterprises, GATE has become the definitive benchmark for engineering excellence. Over 20 lakh engineering graduates and working professionals appear for GATE annually across more than 30 disciplines, making it one of the world's largest competitive entrance examinations.
