ExamFormTools ("we", "us", "our") is committed to your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Most importantly: all file processing (photo resizing, PDF compression, signature editing, etc.) happens entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Contact form: Name, email address, and message content when you contact us.
  • Newsletter / notifications: Email address and exam preferences if you opt in.
  • Account (optional): Name and email if you create an account to save settings.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage analytics: Page views, tool usage counts, and referrer data collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-preserving, no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
  • Log data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained for security purposes for up to 7 days.
  • Local storage: Tool preferences (e.g., last-selected exam preset) are stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your photos, documents, PDFs, or signatures — ever. These are processed locally.
  • Biometric data or personally sensitive exam information.
  • Any data from third-party advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to contact form submissions and support requests.
  • To improve tools and fix bugs based on aggregate usage patterns.
  • To send exam date alerts and tool update notifications (only if you've subscribed).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare Pages & Workers: Website hosting and edge functions. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: Privacy-first analytics that do not use cookies or cross-site tracking.
  • Google Fonts: We self-host all fonts. No requests are made to Google Fonts servers.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, or any third-party ad tracking.

5. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary first-party cookies (e.g., session authentication if you are logged in). No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking cookies.

Dark mode preference and tool settings are stored in localStorage (not cookies) — they remain on your device only.

6. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions: retained for up to 1 year, then permanently deleted.
  • Server logs: automatically deleted after 7 days.
  • Account data: retained until you delete your account.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for email communications at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, Cloudflare DDoS protection, and regular security audits. Since files are processed client-side, they are never at risk of server-side data breaches.

9. Children's Privacy

ExamFormTools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via our notification center.
