JEE Advanced — Frequently Asked Questions

No. JEE Advanced uses the same photo specifications: 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, JPG/JPEG, 10–200 KB, white or light background, no spectacles, ears clearly visible.

Candidates who qualify JEE Main (top 2,50,000 rank) and have not taken more than 2 attempts at JEE Advanced. Must have passed 12th in 2025 or 2026 (for 2026 exam). Age limit: born on or after October 1, 2001.

Two papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2 — both mandatory. Each is 3 hours long with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections. Questions include MCQs, numerical answer type, and matching questions.
